Kemps team heads south for the London Book Fair

Alex reports back from the London Book Fair at Olympia.

"Clare and I enjoyed an insightful two-day trip to the annual London Book Fair.  We attended useful seminars including one focussed on pitching for and running successful author events. 

We met with publishers and made an exciting new contact with Barefoot Books, a children’s publisher that seeks to spark curiosity and capture children’s imaginations, a mindset that resonates with our own here at Kemps. 

We were thrilled to be able to meet Nicci French, the husband-wife duo behind over twenty gripping psychological thrillers. It was also great to chat to fellow independent book sellers and members of the BA.  

We were also treated to a snapshot of all the exciting new books coming in the next few months, look out for new titles from Ann Patchett, Ken Follett, Emma Donoghue, and Natalie Haynes, to name but a few; all of which will of course be available at Kemps.
